Good Shepherd Lodge
Good Shepherd Lodge, which has been operating since 1974, is sponsored by the Anglican Diocese of North Queensland. The facility provides care for 160 residents. They reside in low care, high care, and dementia units and in a retirement village which has 35 units. There are specialised buildings including St Bees, for residents who have dementia, which features individual rooms set around a courtyard garden, while high care residents live in Cumberland House.
The large building in McIntyre Street includes a cafe, function rooms, a hairdressing service and a chapel.
